Why I love Pro Wrestling?
Why not really. At sometime everyone has watched pro wrestling. Either you started watching when you were young and never stopped or you just enjoyed the Hulkamania era as a child. Each way has giving you some kind of enjoyment.
Pro wrestling is the ultimate soap opera. Only in pro wrestling can you pretty much know exactly what is going to happen, yet you still watch and enjoy. As for myself I enjoy all aspects of the game. When I was 10 years old I honestly thought the world hinged on if "The Hulkster" could beat "The Iron Sheik". If he was victorious all was well in the land. Other times I was shocked and in awe when the mega powers collided or Jake the Snake took out Damien. Back then was all about childhood heroes and good versus evil. A great experience back then.
These days wrestling is definitely different. Way different. When you are an adult and have figured out that no one is a superhero. That stories do not just happen that way. Yet you still watch. I had to find different things in which to love about pro wrestling. Like the comedy. I laughed for 10 minutes when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin drenched Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon with beer from the beer truck. I laughed for 20 minutes when Kurt Angle drenched "Stone Cold" and friends with milk.(I'm still laughing actually) How great was it anytime "The Rock" was talking on the mic. Besides the comedy there are other strong points in todays wrestling. Like seeing things your have never seen before. Things like Jeff Hardy jumping off huge ladders or Mic Foley falling through a bijillion tables. Even the Undertakers 20 minute long entrance is a sight to see. Everything has its place in my heart.
Everybody has wrestlers they love. Some may love John Cena. I hate John Cena. It is a great thing to have options. My favorite wrestler was Chris Benoit. He was the greatest in ring performer to ever live, in my opinion. Choices make people fans.
Obviously this is just one mans opinion. I love pro wrestling for alot of reasons. Those reasons range from the stars to the stories. Whatever your reasons are, keep enjoying and celebrate your favorites.
